About David Mitchell
David Mitchell, President of Mitchell Energy Management Services Inc., has over 30 years of experience in the energy business including six years as an energy engineer for Delmarva Power/Conectiv followed by over eight years as the manager of Delmarva Power/Conectiv’s Commercial & Industrial department. He provided energy management services to large commercial and industrial customers. He also developed and implemented demand side management and energy efficiency programs that enabled commercial and industrial customers to reduce their peak demand and use lighting and cooling equipment more efficiently. These programs saved customers over $50 million and in many cases continue to provide savings today. His energy efficiency efforts for a fitness club helped the client win both a State of Delaware and a United States energy award. More importantly, it helped the customer reduce energy costs by over 30% per year.
For six years David was the Director of Business Development, Mid-Atlantic Region, for Constellation NewEnergy, the nation’s largest provider of deregulated electricity. He and his team provided over $60 million of deregulated energy savings to customers.
David started his own business, Mitchell Energy Management Services, Inc., in the summer of 2005 working directly for the customer. He provides his 80 plus customers with in-depth knowledge for both deregulated and regulated energy issues. Customers have already saved over $40 million by working with Mitchell Energy.
David earned a mechanical engineering degree from Virginia Tech, and a MBA from the University of Delaware. He is past president of the Delaware Society of Heating and Air Conditioning Engineers, a current member of the Association of Energy Engineers and has earned the designatation "Certified Energy Manager." |
